Although not the official school sports day, Little A was chosen to participate in the sports event called The Trevictus Games. This sports event held at our school is mainly for children with minor to severe learning disabilities not just in our school but also from other local Cornish schools. It shows how inclusive sports can be no matter your physical or mental health. Little A had a wonderful day and I feel that this shot of him jumping into the sand pit was my favourite.

Plymouth Aquarium
A week ago I went to Plymouth Aquarium with year 1 including my little man. We did the panto and Pizza Hut too but it's the Aquarium I want to blog about because I love them.
We were greeted by two members of staff and were soon being shown around by Stu who was lovely and energetic. We started the tour looking at starfish which I love but I have to say I distracted Stu somewhat by asking about the Spider Crabs which I was fascinated by. He didn't mind and all the children who were fascinated along with me got a quick education in rather cool looking creatures. We moved on to a starfish chat and a little story before heading over to the Jellyfish, another sea creature I love.
Lots of lovely Starfish!
Close up of the Starfish
Beautiful Spider crab
The Jellyfish didn't disappoint anyone least of all me. I took to the upside-down Jellyfish because of their beautiful colours. There were slightly larger Jellyfish, some smaller and a tank which must have been full of baby Jellyfish but I forgot to ask. All their colours were amazing.
Upside down Jellyfish
Next we moved on to the big boys, the sharks. There were some big ol' sharks swimming happily around the plane wreck in their tank with their fish and stingray friends. Enzo the shark was hard to miss given his bizarre shape. Turns out he's a sand shark, one I've never heard about before. It was quite surreal being this far down, trying to imagine how much water was above our heads! Stu gave us a brief chat on the different sharks in this giant tank and a talk about the anatomical structure of some fish.
We viewed another part of the tank, going even further down! Then moved on to the last section of the tour before lunch. The beautiful octopus who stayed still in his corner during a quick talk soon showed his beautiful long tentacles off to us adults the moment the children moved on. Something that looked so bunched up, small and vulnerable suddenly didn't look much that way once his tentacles splayed demonstrating he was easily the length of his tank.
Octopus giving us a show!
We learnt that octopus can stick their tentacles up their noses and can reach around up there fairly easily. There were some other gruesome facts but they made me feel a little sick to be honest! The final stop was to look about the reef where the children spotted their favourites (Nemo! Dory!) It was sad that the turtle had passed away but she lived a much better life with Plymouth Aquarium than she would've done in the wild; something to do with her shell I think but I forget. It was a great tour, I really enjoyed myself and really want to go again with my family so we can look around the whole aquarium and take our time (the one luxury you don't get on a school trip with 5 year olds!)

Last Day of School 2016
A cake I made for the reception class to say goodbye
I have real mixed emotions about my children finishing their school year. I'm finding with A I'm really excited about his next step in education and I've had some wonderful support from his teachers and other staff in regards to his transition. His teacher next year is known by us and him as she taught him in nursery and we had a great parent teacher relationship then and still get on really well now. I don't believe he'll struggle to settle in any less than most of the children in his class and in fact, most children going from a play based learning environment in reception to a year 1 class where it's more structured, involving guided reading and a morning of English then Maths, phew! It's going to be tough for almost all of the children so I'm not worried about A as much as I was a few months ago before we had his meetings.
It's Midge that is giving the me the most anxiety. Last night I couldn't sleep so stayed on the sofa for a bit thinking and it just hit me that she's going into year 4..year 4!? That means she has only a couple of years left of primary and I feel so, so nervous for her. She's so quiet and sensitive and has had a few issues at school with the other girls. It's fair to say that my own experiences of school and seeing my girl almost following in my footsteps in regards to wanting to be friends with everyone and be kind, not wanting to upset anyone and being pretty shy brings back a heck of a lot for me and whilst I am not showing my insecruteris or anxieties in front of her, I'm really struggling to get over the fact that she's getting older and it's like, where the heck has all this time gone?
Anyway, they were both really excited yesterday. Midge has a post on her own blog about her last day. She left sobbing, A left hyper as anything, no idea what they fed them at their party! A had a small graduation ceremony which was lovely if a little long winded, he received an award for his phonics and hard work. Midge came home with her certificate yesterday which was for 'always being a fabulous friend.' I couldn't be happier! They both looked so grown up in their non uniform and trotting into school with their teacher gifts. A left school with a lovely goody bag from his teachers which I thought was a lovely touch.
Last day of school photo!
A's goody bag
So now it's time for the summer holidays and I am looking forward to them. I'm not sure I can compete with last year but i'll give it a good go! I'll be posting up my summer bucket list soon as we all have ideas we want to share and put some adventures on our calendar!
I hope all your little (and big!) ones had a lovely final week of term and weren't too sad to say goodbye to their friends and teachers (and some cases schools!) Have a lovely summer holiday and do share with me any fun plans and outings you have!

Little A an Update
Things have been up and down with Little A for a couple of years and it's been difficult. When I first realised I needed some help with A I phoned a health visitor in tears but now we are 2 years on things are getting easier. We had his transitional meeting at nursery recently and it was so good to know that my boy is going to be understood and not left behind during his first year of school. If all goes well he will be signed off the list for these school meetings we attend with a lovely special needs worker. Little A has some sensory issues but he doesn't have any other issues and as long as people who are close to him understand these he will be okay.
He will continue with speech therapy which has been such a gift. I cannot explain how much this has meant to us. With his speech sessions and with the nursery setting and teachers being so wonderful and his skills with socialising and interacting with other children constantly building he has come such a long way. I always said I was offended by the the line "once he starts talking you'll want him to shut up" and I stand firmly by that still. Until you are the parent of a child and you cannot understand a single word they say and they are angry, stressed and frustrated because of all the people in the world you should know what he is saying and you don't, you just don't know what a gift it is to hear words and sentences tumble from his lips after school, at bedtime, with his big sister, with me in the middle of the night, it goes on and I love it. He is still very repetitive which of course is something that wears thin but overall I couldn't be a happier Mum if I tried!
We've had an occupational therapy consultation which was a success. I think it went very well. The therapist did agree with sensory issues, once written down we could see his main issues revolved around touch and he also has trouble self regulating. He is sensitive to noise but a lot of what I described made her feel that it was best to see our doctor (we think he could be experiencing tinnitus which is just horrible because I have it) and to get him a hearing test just to be sure. She also felt the head rocking and banging and the sleep disturbances and night terrors were not sensory so we have been referred to Sleep Solutions. I'm not sure what they can advise, I think we have a mixture of waiting it out to do and habits to break which is all very difficult when we all just want sleep but I'm willing to hear suggestions and honest views on our situation. Obviously I'm prepared for the inevitable hard work and screaming in future too...
We have a paediatric appointment next month which I think may be our last one but I'm not sure. We have a specialist dental appointment coming up because for the first few years we really struggled to brush Little A's teeth and I'm hoping that although now he copes better with the feel of tooth brushing he still finds it distressing, so I'm meeting the dental team to see if they'll coat his teeth to help protect the enamel. His doctors appointment is this week and I'm sure his hearing test won't be far behind! In the mean time, nursery is helping his transition to reception with visits and meeting the teacher (the whole class do this) A will have a personalised picture table of his new class and teachers that we can show him over the holidays. I think this will work with any child who is nervous about reception not just children who may struggle to understand their next step, so maybe if you're worried ask your nursery team or new teachers what they think.
So to sum it all up we are so pleased with A's speech and language, I'm happy with the outcome of the OT appointment because I think there are children who struggle with sensory issues much more than A who could benefit from their time. Since I took A to his first paediatric appointment last year I researched so much into sensory processing disorder and I changed the way I deal with him, our routines changed and when I started seeing what he struggled with I made allowances, or changed things or just understood him more, it's changed him so much I don't think OT could've provided much. I'm thinking of doing some posts about Little A's biggest sensory difficulties (tooth brushing, clothing etc) and how we deal with this. If it's any use to anyone let me know!

This Weeks Reasons to be Cheerful
Today I'm feeling a little blue so writing one of these posts is the perfect antidote I believe. I've had an earache on and off all day, it's something that always happens now it's cold but I still can't get used to them! It's also piddling it down which hasn't bothered me until now! Anyway, let's get on with some cheerier things shall we?
1) Fireworks night and Halloween are now all over for another year. This year both celebrations were so good and I have some lovely memories to keep. On Halloween I did my usual tea party for my two and their cousins. My niece stayed over night so we took her Trick or Treating which was good fun. Everyone was so polite and friendly. We had a lot more this year than last, perhaps thanks to Jack?
Firework night isn't something I go all out on. I guess I just don't believe in it and what it stands for. Having said that, I feel it's such a possibility for cosiness and memory making so I'm no scrooge! We had homemade fish and chips with butter drizzled corn on the cob for dinner, watched the neighbourhood fireworks, took some lovely photos, did our own sparklers and made our own version of s'mores (which I am now going to label free from Wagon Wheels! So watch out for that!)
2) I'm seeing my best buddy and 2 of her gorgeous clan next Saturday and I'm super excited..Bet you can't guess who it is? I've dug out Little A's Moses basket which has brought back memories! It's only one night but I'm still so excited.
3) Now half term is over I am pleased to be back into a routine. I get some quality time with Little A, Midge loves being back at school, the hours don't drag so much and I get some me time too- which is ever so important! I get a long hot shower, or to read in peace and do some snail mail. I also love that Little A and I are back to watching our morning trains after dropping Midge off. We love waving to the drivers, watching the birds waddle about looking for dropped bacon sandwiches but mostly I just adore watching how much A likes to see his train and watch it disappear around the bend when everyone is aboard. Isn't it great when your children just really love something!?
Lastly, we have heard back from the SEN department and they're going to observe A in nursery before having a little meeting with us which is such good news. Whilst I don't believe he has any specific behaviour problems or anything, he does need more help with his speech and communicating with him still isn't easy, even though I can see how different he is even from a few months ago. I just want to hear him talk to me like all the other children in nursery talk to their parents about what they want or what happened in their day. I'm happy to wait for it though.

Proud Mummy Moment: Midges Year 1 Parents Evening
This is rather delayed 'Proud Mummy Moment' which I won't apologise for!
Midge walked into school one morning last week to see her name on the 'Star of the Day' board. She came bounding up to me and showed me the star, I was so pleased I took a photo of it to show Jay (and show it off on social media naturally!)
After school we had Midges Year 1 patents evening. They're usually fairly predictable these evenings because the school work so closely with us parents all through the different terms. I was so proud to hear the teacher say such wonderful things about my daughter. That she was kind, thoughtful, supported her friends and listened brilliantly.
Work wise, her writing has come on so, so much. Every night midge writes stories and draws pictures before she sleeps. Her reading is spot on after some slow progress and she has moved levels twice this year which has given her so much confidence. Maths is her biggest struggle but the school have recognised this and are helping her every way they can. She is in a good group of friends who find the work challenging too and they work together. While Midge is still enthusiastic about her maths, I'm keen to keep her learning so she doesn't turn to hate it and struggle with the subject throughout her school years like myself.
All the photos have come from her work books which were a pleasure to look through. I'll leave you with a very pleased Midge holding her Star of the Day card which went straight on the fridge as soon as she came in the door!

Be Nice on the School Run Please Parents!
So as I draft this up I'm about half way to pick up some little monsters from school. Yep, I'm on the school run. I don't dislike the school run because it's a fair walk or because of the weather. I don't dislike it because it's super busy and all you parent drivers go pretty crazy at this time of day (ok those are definitely reasons why I hate the school run)
But do you know what makes the whole school run experience even worse? No not your buggy up my ass or your kid running over my foot with their scooter. It's when you're not nice!
There are Mums and Dads at this school and schools all over the country who are mean, who are rude and just down right unpleasant. They have their groups, they have their after morning school run meet ups and have plenty to chat about and that's great that they have friends and that there are little communities split all over the place but why be rude to those who aren't in your circle or like me who aren't in any circle!?
There's one mum here who i once looked at,smiled at even said hello to. She looked straight through me, she blanked me and then she turned away. That's just mean. The only time one of the mums in my daughters class acknowledges me is when I bring in cupcakes for the parent committee.
Now the reason I bring this up isn't because it bothers me so much anymore, I just want people to be aware that there are some parents who are very vulnerable, shy, anxious. Some parents need a friendly smile, a 'you alright?' as we do here. It's nice and it makes a difference. Honestly it does.

A-Z Challenge: S
S is for School Memories
With all the talk about changing the education system for the better (read worse) it got me thinking back to my days in primary school. I enjoyed learning, I had a great education and I also had so much fun! It is possible!
Here's what I remember of my wonderful time at school:
- We did sponsored car washes for charity fund raisers. My Mum always drove her car in and we all had fun washing the cars for a couple of pounds in the school playground. I haven't seen a school do that in ages!
- I used to practice my handstands with all the other girls. We lined up and performed handstands with challenges thrown in such as 'the scissors' (where you moved your legs in a scissor movement in the air) or 'the ballerina' where you had to keep one leg pointed and bend the other. I had pretty good balance back then!
- We sat in circles in our summer dresses making daisy chains, then laying down making pictures out of the clouds.
- We drank milk out of square cartons in the classroom at break time whilst laughing and chatting with our peers.
- We climbed the trees at the top of the field. This was a part of the field that was pretty far from any sight of the teachers but it was never abused, not like in secondary school. We would go up to this part because it was shaded thanks to 4 huge trees. Some people played 'kiss chase' up here, some climbed the big trees without getting told off. Try doing that now!
There are so many more memories from school I'm sure. I had such a good childhood and my education was messy, fun, exciting. Children need this, it's how they learn! I hope our government can see that we're not all born academics. Some of us like getting stuck in!

60 Children and The Eden Project
I went with my daughter's reception class today (along with the schools other class too) to the Eden Project. We left after some minor problems were sorted out at the beginning of school and made our way with a coach full of hyperactive 4 year olds!
I have been to Eden on several occasions but never experienced the ice rink so I think I may have been slightly more excited than some of the children! We all got into our groups (Midge was partnered with her best friend and myself which was pretty fun) and we walked down to the ice rink. The rink isn't massive but a fair size and it was littered with ride on toys, walkers, sledges, footballs and so many other fun toys for the children to play with. They played music from popular children's shows but I don't think any of the children heard this with all the fun they were having!
We played on the ice for about an hour. I swear I had the best workout ever on that rink! I pulled so many children around the ice on sledges, one in particular wouldn't let me leave! Maybe I was a super sledge puller or something? I was hot instead of cold upon leaving which is just not the way it's supposed to work is it? I wasn't the only red faced parent there though!
After all the ice fun we had half an hour for lunch which was a bit chaotic with so many children and constant toilet trips but overall it worked out really well. All the children ate nicely and got excited when they were told we were going to look around the biomes.
We looked around the Tropical Biome first which is full of all the plants and trees of the rainforest. As it was pretty sunny today the Biome had reached about 30 degrees. Coats came off immediately and I was thoroughly hot and bothered by the time we got to the end! I hate feeling hot and sticky it's blooming awful. Luckily, I bought the girl's drinks with me so they weren't phased by the heat at all. We saw some birds, growing bananas, waterfalls and 'ginormous leaves!' as the children exclaimed.
Next, as a special treat because we had so much spare time before returning home, we looked around the Mediterranean Biome which was much cooler as you can imagine. The children loved the colours, the chilies and of course the wonderful sculptures this Biome holds.
Sadly, or happily by this time because the children were pretty tired by this point, we made our way back to our coaches for our return trip. The children seemed to have some sort of last minute energy surge because they were pretty loud on the way home! I was poked and prodded by children sitting behind me, asked lots of questions when really I was ready to sleep in my seat! I was good though...I mean, I didn't tell them off when they poked me, I answered all their questions happily and even managed to not urge when the child (and thank goodness the only one!) was puking just across from me!
It was such a lovely day and all the children were so well behaved. If you're ever able to help with your schools' trips, I'd really recommend joining in. The children can be hard work sometimes but I figured the teachers have this 5 days a week all day so surly I could manage a few hours with other people's children? I did alright too!

Busy, Busy, Busy!
It’s been a relaxed few days here in the Cupcake House but
there are a lot of things lined up to keep the old mind ticking over. Every
single day so far Midge’s school has stuffed a letter into her little red book
bag about some event coming up or the need for more parents to help out.
Next week for example, I’m at the tree decorating ceremony
in the hall in the morning. I have to make sure I’m there nice and early and
have to make sure Midge’s decoration is made and completed by Friday so
she can hang it up on the school tree. Apparently the best one in each class
wins a prize or something like that so, as you can imagine, she’s keen to make
something pretty.
I have to start make
her an Angel outfit for the upcoming Christmas play.
Midge has been chosen as
one of the angels so I need to put something together that she’ll both love and
feel comfortable in. My Mum would make our costumes for our Christmas plays
every year. You would never catch her buying them. 1, the outfits can look
pretty awful and 2, money was better spent to be honest!
I’m keen to follow in my Mum’s footsteps and create
something for Midge. I am yet to figure out my sewing machine but will not give
up. I have had a brain wave though! Midge still has her bridesmaids dress from our wedding day in her toy box (it’s now
a princess dress apparently!) so all she needs is some tinsel sewn on the
bottom, some wings with more tinsel sewn on and something pretty to dress up
her head. My mum used to make me a little halo out of tinsel and something else
but I’m thinking of a really sweet head band, circle shaped to sit on her head
with pretty flowers on it. Bit hippy-ish I suppose but lovely!
On Tuesday we have the parent and child Christmas Workshop.
We put our names down to make some Christmas trees. No idea how fun this will
be but Midge and I will get some ‘us’ time and there will be some Christmas
artwork on the walls! Wednesday I’ve volunteered myself to go on a trip to Eden
Project with all the children from reception, so I’ll be hopping on a coach and
spending all day in St.Austell to help them with lunch and playing on the ice!
That leads me to Friday (thank goodness for Thursday!) On
Friday it’s the Christmas Fare at school so we’ll all be going including my
beautiful little niece. We’ll look after her an hour whilst my
sister-in-law helps out. There will be
lots of little bits to buy and we have a
very important appointment with Father Christmas Himself at 2.30pm for Midge,
Little Man and my niece. Be great to see how that turns out!
I’m really looking forward to next week and of course this
week I get to put the decorations up! Midge wanted to see what the tree looked
like so I put it up..Now it’s just sitting there BEGGING to be decorated. It’s
only a day early right?

What I've Learnt Today..
1.It's National Chocolate Week this week. This is good for many, many reasons but it also leads me to believe that every week is a National 'something or other' week...
2. Children really do ask you some interesting questions. 'Mum, where does water come from?' Good question Midge, let me briefly pop back to 2004 and pretend I was listening in Science because, lets face it, there is a proper answer here!
3. Oven jacket potatoes ain't all that and a bag of chips...Or i'm just doing them wrong.
4. If you leave your phone laying around your 4 year old WILL take photos:
5. I owe £6.80 to my local library for a book I cooked from twice and then forgot to return. Serves me right really but how bloody long have I borrowed it?! I'm sure it wasn't that long!!
6. That you can't remember everything. I forgot 'Show and Tell' today but in my defense i did remember letter writing, math homework (early), £1 for the Halloween party and to bring a drinks bottle to class!

First Day Success
![]() |
| ''First day at school: When I grow up I want to be a baker!' |
I loved school and even when I started finding things difficult later on with bullying I still loved to learn. English, history and art were among my favourite lessons and I think that was reflected in my overall results in year 11. I hope this is the beginning of a love for learning for my Midge.
We thought we'd do something different to mark the beginning of her learning journey. After we had all eaten breakfast and got dressed I set about doing the usual 'Mum' thing and took lots of photos of my baby girl on her first day. I then sat down and noticed my chalk board. A while ago I was going through Pinterest and I found, but never 'pinned' this cute little idea to write what year your child is going into. I thought I'd make it a bit different and ask Midge what she wanted to be when she grows up!
She said 'maker' and upon further questioning she explained that she wanted to make things like cupcakes. 'Oh! A baker?' I said. 'Yes Mum that's what I said, a maker!' *Big sigh.* We took a few successful shots but she fell in the toy box on our second one so, naturally, I had to include it in my blog.
Finally, just before leaving I got this lovely photo of both my babies together. Midge is a very proud big sister which is just lovely to see. Little Man missed her today which I thought he would being they've made a lot of noise the past six weeks!
As for Little Man, we kept him occupied by having a quiet breakfast before the late morning rush of Mummy meet ups! He really enjoyed dipping into ketchup which went everywhere!
How did your Little (or not so little) Ones get on with their first day back?

Here Come the Weather Blues!
I don't know if you're like me but when the weather really turns nasty I find it a real struggle to get out of bed. I'm pretty glad school is starting soon because it'll be a 7am wake up which this house hasn't seen in a long time. We all like our sleep but on a rainy, cold day we are all even more reluctant to get out of our pits. Alright, the children still wake up and are quite happy to play while Husband and I have a few extra minutes.
The last two days however I have really not wanted to get up! We're in the last 2 weeks of the summer holidays and I have no motivation to do anything. I'm also on a bit of a come down which most brides suffer from. I've gone through all of that planning and now I'm left with a void. I've got a few things to be focusing on so when I stop being such a lazy beast I shall be doing the following:
Lets not forget Christmas isn't all that far away either! The pennies are tighter than they have ever been right now and we're putting money back to visit some family in December which will be lovely but it's also making me think that now I'm not storing tonnes of wedding stuff I can replace it with Christmas stock! (Shhh don't tell husband!) What will be really great is when I get my Park vouchers in October!
For now though I'm going to sit in my PJ's, watch Celebrity Masterchef and play withTwitter my 2 babies!

I've got a few things to be focusing on so when I stop being such a lazy beast I shall be doing the following:
- Planning more country learning days. We had our America day a couple of weeks ago and that went down really well. We have plans for a Chinese Day, Polish Day and of course a British Day (I can't resist!) just one more which is proving tricky..probably France though as it is a language actually taught to our children!
- My little sister is heading to university at the end of September so I want to plan a good send off. We're thinking of getting back massages and lunch and I'm making her a little gift to go away with. I'm going to ball my eyes out when she leaves!
- It's my birthday in October so that's something to look forward to and of course before that Midge is heading off into reception- very exciting. We still need some uniform but we're waiting until last minute for some bargains (lets hope this risk pays off and we're not left with no jumpers in her size!)
For now though I'm going to sit in my PJ's, watch Celebrity Masterchef and play with

AWeekly Catch Up #3
What can I say about our last week? End of an era for Little Miss comes to mind for sure! On Friday 20th it was officially the last day Little Miss would ever attend nursery. She's so excited about starting her new class year that she really wasn't sparing a thought for her last day and to be honest, I wasn't emotional at all. I'm so excited about the next step up in her education it's wonderful.
We went to her 'nursery graduation' where she picked up her certificate and I got to flick through her learning journal which I was really pleased with. Little Miss has come on leaps and bounds since starting nursery. So, to some up our end of an era week, I have made a few collages. Enjoy.

Little Miss at 3 years old before Little Man was born.
At 3 and half stating her first day in nursery in full uniform!
Walking to school in the winter all wrapped up.
Celebrating her 4th birthday before starting her afternoon session
Learning to hold her pen properly and starting to write her name.
First sports day was a success!
Taster session for the new class year in September.
Singing with her friends in the nursery graduation after receiving her certificate
Finally, we have name spelling down to a 'T' I am so proud
Extracts from Little Miss's Learning Journal.
Little Man is chatting away constantly at the moment really trying to make some sort of sense. Unfortunately he's not being too successful but I think he's getting his big sister's name almost. He seems to be shouting something along those lines when he gets himself stuck in the toy box that he climbs in, arms stretched up and waving whilst shouting at his sister. Every time she picks him up so I think his first word will be her name!
He's also really into his walking about right now, running to the door at every opportunity. I'm sure you can imagine the noise he makes once he realises he's being put in the pushchair instead! We've got lots planned for the summer holidays and I just hope instead of eating salt dough and play dough he might actually get into playing with it!
He's also being super independent right now with his eating, refusing to let me spoon feed him at all. My house is a constant mess with food rolling and dropping about all over the floor which is a pain but they have to learn!
| Holding hands at the church fate |
| Mince and rice. It wasn't pretty! |
Now it's the summer holidays I'm sure there will be plenty to catch up on every week! Hope everyone is enjoying the sun!

Operation Superhero
We have been set the task of dressing our little darlings as superheros tomorrow. Super easy for boys but in my opinion not so simple for the girls. There isn't much on offer for fancy dress and I'll be darned if I'm spending ten pounds or there about on an outfit just for one day as Little Miss isn't really into dressing up at home. Hard time and all that!
So, with this in mind I decided to pop into my local fabric store to see what I could source. I came across some fabric which is cute. No it's not superhero like at all but as she plans to be 'Super L' I figured her cape could be whatever she wants it to be. I have some felt stashed in my cupboard so later when all is quiet I can sew some initials and maybe something else to onto the cape too.
I think ill throw her in some leggings and shorts and she can pull it off fine. I mentioned my idea to another Mum and her daughter is going as Super (her name) as well which is cool. In fact it was her that tipped me off about the fabric store. I hope we haven't bought the same fabric!
I'll be sure to post a photo up tomorrow before she ventures off to enjoy her school day. I thought I had better get this post in early as I'll be busy sticking pins in my fingers tonight no doubt!

This freaked me out no end as i've never seen it before! It's at the local school and apparently the children made it. Other Half told me in year 6 they made time capsules which they burred next to it before creating this at a later date.
