My Sunday Photo ~ Polling Day
Polling day came and as usual the Mini Cupcakes wanted to join me. The only time I could do it was before school so off we went! They watched what I did, asked questions and Midge popped my folded paper in the ballot box. I loved their enthusiasm and feel I'm creating 2 little ones who will be real voters when it's their time!
My Sunday Photo ~ Sports Day Star
Although not the official school sports day, Little A was chosen to participate in the sports event called The Trevictus Games. This sports event held at our school is mainly for children with minor to severe learning disabilities not just in our school but also from other local Cornish schools. It shows how inclusive sports can be no matter your physical or mental health. Little A had a wonderful day and I feel that this shot of him jumping into the sand pit was my favourite.
My Sunday Photo ~ Rest in Peace
I did not know Aylan or Galip or Rehan Kurdi. I don't know any of the people fleeing their counties, risking their lives for a better one. That doesn't have to stop me from caring, from feeling helpless, or scared for them. Even when they make their long, exhausting and dangerous journey they still haven't reached the end, there is still so far to go. This candle is for all the very, very many men, women, children and babies who have so sadly and tragically lost their lives looking for a safer one. May they all rest in peace x
Aylan Kurdi Fund - Set up in honor of Aylan Kurdi. All donations go to Hand in Hand for Syria, a humanitarian agency.
Unicef - The UN's children's charity is helping provide clean water, medicine and psychological support to refugees. Just £9 provides an emergency water kit for a family.
Migrant Offshore Aid Station - Helping reach refugees who are in danger of drowning from overcrowded boats.
My Sunday Photo Week 5 (Robot Gets a Ride!)
Little A has been hard to cope with lately. One of our big things at the moment is the (dreaded) school run. It's tough in the morning, it's tough in the afternoon for nursery and it's tough on the way home. This was one nursery run where there was no melt down and I liked the moment he asked to put robot in the buggy for a bit. Robot stayed in the buggy all day i'm told!
My Sunday Photo: Cake!
Another date in January, another birthday. This time it's my wonderful Husbands' birthday. He turned 25 yesterday. Here's a team effort cake put together rather last minute after a pretty tough night with the kids. Normally I have a total ban on the birthday person having a say in their cake but on this occasion I let it slide!
My Sunday Photo #3- Because We all Need to Laugh!
It's been a tough week for many and I haven't been too grand with my dental business (i'm presently terrified of my next appointment on Wednesday) I rooted through my Kawaii Box and I found these. They made me laugh. I mean, I look ridiculous and that's totaly the point. Hope you like this weeks photo!
My Sunday Photo #2
The quality is utter pants but it's a very real photo. Last night I enjoyed a lovely dinner with The Hubby. He had played football until 6pm and I wanted to surprise him (something on my Project Kindness list in fact) with his favourite meal: pork, apple and stuffing pie with mash. And some Cider of course! We then danced to Ed Sheeran rather spontaneously and whilst romantic, it was full of laughter too. So that's the story behind this weeks photo, just a simple memory I want to record and never forget.
Cupcake Mumma
My Sunday Photo #1
I'm sure there are some people who will not find this funny, but as their Mother I'm afraid I find fighting over a sock and the shear drama on my daughters' face and my son looking so very pleased with himself, absolutely hilarious! The situation was remedied by handing over a pair of my new socks (just so you know I do solve these arugments, not just photograph them!)
