Weigh, Lose or Stay ~ Week 2

I was really pleased with myself this week! I've eaten really well (bar the fairy cakes I inhaled and the generous handful of fruit pastilles I ate) I'm not one for ruling things out. You put rules on me like that and I'm eating the whole of Tesco you know what I mean?

Anyway, I concentrated on my food last week and I'm so pleased to have found a new love of adding good things to my breakfasts and trying a couple of new recipes too. I even had a smoothie this week (which looked like vomit so I spared Instagram that image) it did however taste delicious!

Exercise was always going be an unlikely event last week, mainly because I've been PMS'ing and looking about 4 months pregnant, although the good food has helped enormously! I haven't indulged in junk food (bar the above mentioned) so the evil mood and bloating hasn't lasted as long as usual.

So this week is about continuing my good eating progress and putting some working out into my daily routine. I have the time and hopefully feel like I have more energy. It'll be very simple. I've finally accepted this has to be a slow process for me, I mustn't expect fast results and get fed up and binge as a consequence.

I've not done any measurements, I can't be bothered right now to be honest, I'm kind of going by how I feel and look rather than numbers! I shall post week 3 on Friday! I'm also linking up with Fitness Tuesday with Fitness4Mamas!

Weigh Lose or Stay ~ Week 1

I've just stumbled across a new to me blog called Laura's Lovely Blog and I was drawn to her new Weigh, Lose or Stay linky. I've been feeling less and less confident and more and more self conscious in my everyday life. I feel I'm just getting bigger. I feel bloated all the time and it's getting me down. I need some motivation and I guess heading to this link up might give me some support in moving forward!

I'm not on any specific diet or exercise programme. I will be doing the best I can with exercise at home as this is my cheapest option also with foot injuries I can't push myself too much! I'm super lazy, the only exercise I do is the school run. I don't eat awfully but I don't eat great either and this has to change.

I'm currently over 10 stone which will sound nothing to some people but I'd like to get back to 9. Mainly I'd just like to lose the weight I have on my stomach, hips and tone up in general.

Reasons to Lose Weight:

To feel fitter when playing with the children.

To love myself more instead of feeling rubbish all the time.

For my health. Losing weight and eating healthier will improve my digestive problems, my energy levels and sleep. And a host of other things!

Goals:

To get to 9 stone again (or feel more comfortable in those areas I want to target, whichever comes first!)

To stop my constant need to eat. I eat all the friggin time and I'm driving myself nuts. When I'm down, bored, happy it's food I want.

To exercise more and become comfortable with myself. Knowing that even if all I do is 20 minutes, at least I am doing something.

To cook healthier meals.

I hope to make some blogging buddies here and get some support. I think in my next post I should update on any exercise I managed and I might do measurements instead of weight? Do share in the comments below any free from recipes, encouragement or links to your own posts so I can read and help support you too!

Mami 2 Five

No MumenTum..

It has been an awful week for me. Every time I've gone to do something I have been pulled in another direction by someone (namely toddler or baby related of course) which is extremely annoying.
I can't (and won't) blame it all on my little darlings though. My motivation has gone out of the window and I'm not sure when it's gonna bring its sorry ass home to be quite honest!

The past couple of days both Other Half and me have been totally run down with this horrid cold, earache and with Little Miss deciding to play silly buggers at 4 o'clock in the morning and Little Man teething I can honestly and freely admit to being darn right lazy with everything.

I am not myself at all and it is very depressing. I totally get how I am focusing way too much on the fact that I've had a bad week and not enough on making this week count but that just makes it worse in some silly way. Like I've made such a balls up this week that there is even more pressure to be 'good' this week.

I'm really struggling with my diet. I have a restricted diet (I don't eat meat, i can't eat wheat, gluten or dairy) so my meals bore me to death. I have books, I have looked online but the treats and puddings are proving more common and more fun to make! Not that I've made much of anything! I appear to be living off soya mince! Shepard's pie, spag bol...as I said last week I freeze this so I can have a good lunch or a dinner if I'm feeling lazy.

I haven't had take out this week which is one thing to be happy about. And I haven't stuffed my face on sweets or chocolate either. And I'm not sad about that. I do feel though that I have a million and one things to do (or rather I want to do) but am reluctant to prioritise them. Lets face it, yes i would rather blog and read a book, watch Eastenders, e-mail than pull out my exercise DVD...But then if I carry on I will be an overweight miserable sod who hates herself blogging, reading and watching Eastenders.....Ohh I think I've just found my motivation!

I'm linking up (bravely this week) with New Mum Online and the fabulous bloggers who are also on the journey of getting their tums back...I WILL get it back!!

Bye Bye Mum Tum *Waves*

It's 2012 and there is one big thing happening this year that I have to look wonderful for.
My Big Day.

Eek!
The other thing about it being 2012 is that I'm sat here feeling heavier (that's because I am) and pretty fat in all honesty, yes I'm feeling more fat this year than last year. And last year i was pregnant! After I had my son I kind of pinged back and felt amazing.....Then I started eating junk...again.

Yep, the Junk Monster has returned. So has the Lazyitus (serious condition you know). But anyway, I am fed up of feeling horrible and sluggish and not feeling confident like i did in early 2011. After a recent nurse appointment I was weighed...I wasn't happy. I am not overweight but I am not how I should be for ME.

I thought I'd do something about it.So here I am joining Liska at New Mum Online for MUMenTum- Mums loosing their Tums in 2012!

I want my jeans to feel looser, I would LOVE to go clothes shopping again and not just assume everything would look awful on me and so leave the shop immediately and then feel crap about myself (thus leading to more junk gorging.) I want to feel healthier. I feel so slow and sluggish it's unreal and I am so tired. My body is clearly telling me to get my life sorted and it's about time i listened to it. I only have one right!

So they're my goals, I am going to measure myself, I am going to sort out an exercise regime (at home nice and simple and probably not a dvd workout as I always feel pretty useless at them) and watch the inches fall off! I would like to see this Mummy Tummy less wobbly (it is honeslty capable), my thighs need to rein themselves in a bit before summer so I can wear those nice denim jeans that look nice with my wedges (but my fat arse won't go them just yet Oh Nooo) The waist could do with nipping in but I feel fairly positive about my body plans especially with the support of the blogging community!
Here goes!
