#Paperhaul Box 5!

This months #Paperhaul box that dropped onto my doormat is a rather retro box of goodies. There are some great colours and patterns featured in this box, the 5th box to be released by #Paperhaul. Every month I wonder what theme will pop through my letter box, this month is not my favourtie I have to admit, I'm more of a vintage gal than a retro one. However, there are several items I really do love and the ones I'm not so fond of can easily be posted on or gifted to someone I know who adores retro/music (you'll see!)

My favourite item in these boxes by far are the washi tapes. Washi tape is quite a pricey item for what it is (in my book anyhow!) and I always look forward to seeing what has been placed in the #Paperhaul box. This months box had a lovely floral pattern, it's gone straight into my sticker and tape box.

I love the gift tags this month; it's hard to not like a rainbow pattern though right?

There are always two cards in a box. This month neither are really something I'd use but I am strangely drawn to the girl on the telephone, it's a really retro image isn't it?

Mini note cards with a lovely pattern on the front. These always come with their own mini brown envelopes.

Stickers!

These stickers are the first ones I think that haven't had an image on them. They're too big for me to use like the previous stickers I've received in previous boxes, but I think I will cut shapes out of them instead. They're very cleaver stickers in a disco effect which kind of looks a bit 3D.

Scrap papers. I love the apples the most. Again, these will be saved for my scrap book that I'm yet to start!)

Of course I love a postcard and this month there are 3. Only one of these postcards will make it into my proper collection, I'm rather taken with it (below) the other two aren't really me, so I'll have to think hard about who to pass these on to!

Did you receive this months #Paperhaul box? I'd love to know what you thought!

Crafty Creatives: A Favourite so Far!

This month the lovely people at Crafty Creatives have put together a rather sweet treat for us..Almost literally! I adore this box (CCBox 12) and have already been busy making things with the contents. Shall I show you what wonderful items we were treated to this month? Oh okay then!

How could I, Cupcake Mumma, not Oh and Ah and practically squeal with delight upon opening this latest box? We have this splendid art card which is just wonderful. I love the illustrations of the gummy bears, sweet jars and lollies. Also in the box is a recipe card from that lovely Cathryn Dresser of British Bake Off fame (I love that show), a mini cookie cutter (I received a heart shaped one) and some little embellishments for use on card, gift tags, fabric- anything really!
In the final picture you can see ice cream buttons, cupcake ribbon in blue, tags to decorate and have fun with designing and some brightly coloured ring beads.

Here is a close up of the full set of ice cream buttons. You can really jazz up an item of clothing, stick the ice cream firmly in place to the cone and loop through some chain for a unique necklace, or even snip the back off (carefully) to use as embellishments. The possibilities are endless!

Finally, the kit this month is a cross stitch kit with a variety of patterns to choose from. The kit comes with everything you need, as usual, even down to the little needle placed carefully in the fabric. Talking of fabric, included is a wonderful piece which I have forgotten to photograph! I'm sure someone will have a photo somewhere! The last treat in my box were 3 cakes which I have already turned into necklaces.

I think you'll agree that this is quite a fabulous box for June. Next month Crafty Creatives turn One! Look out for a truly great box I'm sure! As usual, I'm not sent these boxes to review. I pay for them and enjoy them as part of my crafting hobby and love to blog about them. I have inspired many a crafty mind to sign up so it's working!!

Have fun,
Cupcake Mumma x

Craft Time!

Where have I been? I have not blogged properly in a while which is very odd for me. I've been a bit tired, my anxiety has been causing all sorts of problems for me but otherwise I'm good! I've decided to blog about my most recent Crafty Creatives box because I haven't written about them in a while and I'm feeling creative so why not?

The theme for this months box is Glamour. Not my usual thing I must admit. I usually wait for the post man to bring my box before I read any spoiler posts but I gave in this time and peeked! I honestly didn't know what to expect from the theme and I'm a lot more into it than I thought I would be!

This art card is beautiful. I have already framed it by putting some of the included velvet fabric behind the card and it's now hanging by my bed. Every box comes with an art card and there isn't a single one I haven't liked so far.

There are some lovely pieces in this box. Here are some silver beads which will make a lovely bracelet, green crystals and a pair of teardrop shaped stones which will be made into a pair of earrings for someone I love. Crafty Creatives were even kind enough to include ear hooks and jump rings too.

This months kit is all about making a pretty hair clip.I can't wait to have a go and see what I come up with!

There's this lovely stamp and gold ink pad which looks so pretty. I'll be using the stamp on the back of my envelopes for my letter writing.

Finally there is this black trim included and a beautiful rose which I'll probably pop onto a ring blank for use as a statement piece of jewelry. There are some other items included but I won't spoil everything (winks)

Hope you enjoy your CCBox this month and if you want to know more, head over here to check out the fabulous Crafty Creatives site.

Another Crafty Box!

I love this time of the month! I was so excited (yes, call me sad if you like) to get my next box full of crafty goodies from Crafty Creatives. Yet again, they have not disappointed! This month the theme is wonderfully vintage and festive! If you haven't had your box yet, look away now because I'm about to do some showing off!

I always open my box up trying to figure what the theme is from the paper. Last month was easy with its dark black and red rose design. This time the papers weren't really giving anything away!

There are some great little surprises in the box this month:

This months kit is..Crochet! Instructions and links are provided along with coloured wool, a crochet hook and all the little extras to finish off this cute design. This will be such a challenge for me as someone who couldn't get the hang of knitting (which I know is different!) but still a bit daunting!
A lovely bunch of Cinnamon sticks. Mine are going to go around a nice, medium sized candle as a gift for my Gran this year. I'm also going to make one for myself.
Also there is some beautiful ribbon, small wreath hoops which I can't wait to make up all festive. There is a mini teacup and saucer (not pictured) which I will make into either a ring or pendant. It really is adorable.
Last but not least, some jingle bells!

I love these very festive images sourced from Germany, aren't they just lovely?
There's also a cutting of fabric specially made for this box, a pair of scissors which I was going to ask for for Christmas- handy! I've wanted a pair of scissors to make my cutting a bit more funky!
Finally, aren't these wooden images just too cute? I really don't think I can part with this item so may have to make something just for me and my home.

If you have received your box, what are you planning to make with this months festive collection? Are you a bit daunted by the kit this month too?
Have fun and share your makes!
