Vegan Easter eggs

It's very nearly Easter and I think most of us are also on our 2 week break to celebrate. I've got a super simple recipe for some yummy vegan creme eggs. If you've ever tried to buy the free from versions of these you'll know you're looking at a pack of 3 for nearly £10 on most sites and almost £3 an egg if sold individually on others.

I've been wanting to write this up for a while now but I've been so poorly that I've had to step away from the laptop. Thankfully I'm feeling a little better! Before I start, the lovely folks at BuyWholefoodsOnline.co.uk have helped me to make this recipe by supplying at least 4 of the ingredients. Their Coconut oil, Maple Syrup, Macadamia Nuts and the most important: Cashew nuts.

2017 Moo Free Bake Off ~ Vegan & Gluten Free Chocolate Cake

Today I bring you a delicious cake that has taken me absolutely ages to perfect. There are so many different recipes out there on the net for all manner of free from foods and vegan cakes are no exception...Except, that every single one I looked at had a bunch of different flours, or a load of raw ingredients not to mention all the different types of foods or products that you have to go through to make a decent egg replacement.

I finally feel, after well over a year, I have found a recipe that whilst is still not as cheap to make as gluten and egg containing cake recipes, it works and is no where near as pricey as some of my previous experiments!

In this post I have used Moo Free baking chocolate drops which are available from all major supermarkets priced at £2.18 (Morrisons). I was sent my packets free of charge to participate in Moo Free's Bake Along which is a nod towards the wonderful Bake Off that I'm very glad is back! Moo Free chocolate is certified organic, GMO free and free from dairy, wheat, gluten, casein and soya making it ideal for my friends daughter's birthday!

The Organic Coffee Shop ~ Redruth ~ Free From Friendly!

As any fellow free from foodie will know one thing that's really hard to adjust to is finding places that will competently serve you whatever allergy free food it is you require. It really is amazing the amount of chefs I've come across who don't know what a vegan is let alone what contains gluten and what doesn't!

I can't eat wheat, milk or gluten and avoid most meat as that makes me feel unwell too. I suffer with IBS and have done since I was 14 so this is nothing new. I've adjusted to shopping for groceries, reading labels (and do this regularly because supermarkets are always changing their ingredients!) I'm also sadly use to completely vetoing restaurants because they don't serve anything apart from a plate of chips.

I recently found a new place in the next town over from me, a lovely cafe and health food shop called The Organic Coffee Shop. This place was recommended to me by the ladies on reception at the chiropractor. The perfect opportunity to check out this new coffee shop arose when my aunt popped round my house (a vegan) and my mother came along too (my mum can't eat gluten or wheat and avoids dairy). We fancied a treat and some quality time together and I chose The Organic Coffee Shop in Redruth.

Hippy Paste ~ A Natural Deodorant {Review}

Today I want to share with you all a product I have been testing out for about 2 weeks now, (I take these things seriously!) Since having the children my underarms clearly think that I need to sweat more than I ever did as a teenager or pre-children (thanks for that) Sweating is, of course, a completely normal bodily function, so normal it would be pretty bad if we didn't.

I've been looking for a deodorant for awhile that will help me when I'm out and about, not to stop sweating but to help with any odour that sweating might (and for me usually does) produce. I've not been disappointed by Hippy Paste from Earth Conscious in the slightest. I smell fresh all day long!

Hippy Paste (not just for hippies!) is similar to an over sized lip balm. The container is a basic pot with a screw down lid decorated with the Hippy Paste logo. The pot fits in a handbag and even in my make up bag so it's ideal to take around with you and looks much better than the often large spray deodorants or the awkward shaped roll ons.

Hippy Paste is an all natural product. Your underarms are one of the most sensitive parts of your body so a natural deodorant is a great product to use. All you need to do is massage the balm in a circular motion to warm it up a little and apply. Easy. After that you're good to go. Hippy Paste natural deodorant can be ordered in 6 different scents: citrus, ylang ylang, pure, lavender, tropical and Mint, which is the one  I have reviewed here. I'd love my armpits to smell of other great flavours like strawberries, how about you?

Pinaddicts March!

I had to have a very quick change of plan this month for Pinaddicts because I couldn't find the materials I needed in time. You may have seen this posted on my blog already so I shall place a link at the end of my blog so you can have a good look at how to make my March Pin!

I decided, seeming as I was throwing my aunt a surprise roast for her retirement I would make her a cheesecake. A vegan cheesecake. I also made it gluten free so i could indulge! I have to say this went down very, very well! So well my sister is coming to stay on Wednesday and she has requested i make one just for us to pig out on because she wasn't well enough to join in the party.

Here is the original pin I found about a week ago. I already kinda knew how to make this kind of cheesecake but I had never made it properly.
